AGM Success!

Our AGM went as smoothly as ever at the Illingworth Fire Station on Thursday 16th June 2011. It was lovely to see some of our volunteers there along with referrers, staff, trustees and funders. Sue Harvey came along from Harvey's of Halifax and commented on how proud she was to have been involved with Home-Start and seeing more about what we do. The Trustees devised a quiz for all who attended to test the knowledge of how well do you REALLY know your Home-Start. This was a light-hearted way of getting people to know us better. All volunteers were mentioned as certificates were given out and it was wonderful to hear so many names being read out which shows just how many fabulous people give their time to families. The event was wrapped up by a lovely performance from a choir of school children from Siddal Primary School who sang songs from musicals with big smiles on their faces, followed by a lovely lunch. Those of you who were not there will get you certificates at your next supervision-remind your co-ordinator!! Thanks to everyone who attended-for those who didn't make it-maybe next year?
