Family Fun!

On 12th August 2011 Home-Start Calderdale had its annual summer trip. This year we took 2 coaches full of parents and children to Ponderosa farm at Heckmondwike. The day started of as one of the wettest of the summer but by the time we arrived at the farm the rain had moved on and we had a lovely day. The children were able to have a tour of the farm, have a ride on a pony, play in the playground, play in the sand, handle snakes and lizards and have a session in the soft play centre. There was even a magician who amazed with her tricks and made all manner of things from balloons. We had lunch together in the party rooms with sandwiches, crisps, biscuits and even finished with jelly and ice cream!! Thanks to any volunteer who supported their family on the day and a big thank you to volunteer Ginny for taking the photos.
